He has covered science, technology, ideas, and culture at a wide range of online, print, and television outlets. He spent ten years as editor-in-chief of Popular Mechanics, then the country’s largest-circulation science and technology magazine.

His work has appeared in the New York Post, Commentary, City Journal, Slate, and other publications.
