How do allies who distrust one another still manage to win a world war? Award-winning historian Tim Bouverie takes up that question in his latest book, Allies at War: How the Struggles Between the Allied Powers Shaped the War and the World. He traces the fractious, high-stakes coalition that defeated the Axis and draws pointed parallels between the international tensions of the 1940s and the fault lines dividing the world today.
